The Hawks pressure continued until they were penalized mid period. After a flurry or Erin pressure a defensive zone faceoff was won by Cam Miller and the puck drifted down ice. Miller persisted and followed the puck to the Erin net where he stripped it back from both the defence and the tender drilling the disc home. In the second period Erin battled back and enjoyed the advantage in play and shots counting the only goal on a power play. The third was a see-saw affair with the only goal being created by a Cody Ruff keep in that Miller redirected to the slot where Connor Longlade Oswald found the finishing touch. The Hawks defense and back-checkers held the line the rest of the way in front of a sharp Taylor Elkins as the Hawks counted a 3-1 win. The Hawks breezed home with the narrow 2-1 victory. The following night it was treats at home in Caledon East and tricks on the visiting Orangeville Flyers in a pre Halloween tilt. At the half-way mark of the first Richard flew down the left side and buried a low shot short side. A minute later Boughen received a nice feed from Briggs and swooped in front with a top corner backhand.
