Hat tricks for Bozzo and Begley

September 28, the Caledon Hawks Minor Bantam AE team made mince meat out of the Milton Winter Hawks as they took the win with an embarrassing score of 9-2.

Michael Bozzo hit the scoreboard first, assisted by Christian DeMarco and Jonathan Dunn. Ten seconds later Milton took one of their own. In just over a minute, Nick Wheeler was credited with the Hawks second goal and this one was assisted by Michael Newman. At 4:21, Bozzo grabbed his second of the night, assisted by DeMarco and Jake Mottershaw. The Winter Hawks counter attacked again within ten seconds to end the first period with the Caledon team in the lead by one.

The Hawks had the second period under control as Peter Coghill, goalie for the night put an end to Milton's scoring. The only goal of the period went to Bozzo, who then had the hats a flying¿ with his triple. he helpers on this one were Dunn and Scott Foley.

As in the second, Coghill remained calm between the pipes, not allowing any puck to pass over the red line. Believe it or not, but the home team of Caledon scored yet another five goals! The mighty goal scorers in the third were John Sheridan, Bozzo (again) and Tyler Begley - yes, another hat trick for the team! This time the assists went to Wheeler (3), Newman (2), Foley, Lucas Guadagnini, Jacob VanVliet and Leo Labine.

The Hawks skated away with the win. Coaches awarded Jake Mottershaw with player of the game.

Win over Acton

One week later Oct. 5 and another win, this one against Acton. The Hawks are proving to others in their division they are a team to be reckoned with. Once again, it was Bozzo who hit the scoreboard first with Foley taking the assist. The visitors managed to squeeze in a goal before the period ended and another in the second.

The Hawks however, seem to come alive in the third, with four more goals!

The goal scorers were Begley, Wheeler, Mottershaw and Michael Newman. Assists this time around went to Bozzo, Mottershaw (2), Newman, Wheeler and Tyler Goertzen.

The Hawks ended up on top with a score of 5-2. Coaches awarded Begley with player of the game.
