Blackhawks continue winning ways Caldeon major bantam select Blackhaws ravaged East Gwillimbury in an exhibition game at Teen Ranch Oct. 24 to the tune of 7-1. Coach Joe's pre-game pep talk regarding disciplined and positional play showed itself on the ice as the Hawks went ahead 3- 1 in the 1st period. Andrew Fireball Fellin scored the 1st of his 3 goals from Kyle Sammut and Robert Keszeg. Not long after that, some great puck contol between Michael Bellisario and Vincent Maiolino found Christian Bonaldi for his 1st goal of the game. Rounding out the period was Warren Stroud who finished off the nice work of Sammut and Fellin. In the 2nd period the wheels fell off the East Gwillimbury wagon as the Hawks scored 4 unanswered goals. Bonaldi banged the twine with his 2nd of the night from James Harkins and Damian Commisso. Fellin whacked home the next two from Justin Lollino and Zachary Moszynski, and Lollino and Moszynski respectively. Gaebler finished off the scoring with a bullet drive off the blue line from Harkins and Bonaldi. Rockets fizzle against Blackhawks October 28 the Hawks snuffed out the Brampton Rockets 3-0. First and second-period action sea-sawed both ways as each team fought for the 1st goal. The fast-paced action seemed to tire out the Rockets in the 3rd period. The Hawks' offensive machine of Bonaldi and Bellisario took advantage of this when they combined with Sammut for goal number one. With the Rockets out of fuel Anthony Gasbarre's blue line feed to Commisso found Warren Stroud in the clear. Making no mistake he scooped the puck past the Rockets' netminder to put the Hawks up 2-0. The Hawks' passing game kicked into high gear, and some superb tic-tac-toe passing between Robert Keszeg and Justin Lollino resulted in Fellin netting the insurance marker. Netminder Joseph Viola earned his third shutout of the season thus far. |
