Remember November at the active Caledon seniors' centre A month of both sad and sweet remembrances culminating in a time of joyous anticipation. This is our centre story. For each of us we will experience November and the refreshment of friends, activities and new opportunities which rekindle our joy for our tomorrows. Yes, we have received government charitable status! Beverley Nurden, our centre manager, and director Donald Dalgleish our fundraising chairman, headed the committee proposals to governmentCongratulationstoour directors and all for much personal effort. Contact the Centre for all details. An active Centre we are. November runs the gamut. October was a highlight month with our most successful grand 12th anniversary craft, bake, garage and silent auction sales. A beautiful day though windy, capacity attendance and eager anticipation fully achieved in deals, sales, and friendships made. A centre thank you to all who gave hours of time, effort and skill to make it so. I think of an old friend Mr. DOPA. All our events and this one in particular require MR (Make Ready, the plans and setups). Then there is the "do" to make it happen for all who came. And finally the "PA," put away. The cleanup. Our staff and volunteers made Mr. DOPA" shine. A centre thank you to all who attended and supported so willingly our centre effort and success. You have guaranteed a grand 2008 for us and You. Halloween luncheon was full of tricks and treats and a costume warm up for Halloween night. Goblins, fairies and witches abounded. We sincerely congratulate our Caledon Wellness Centre neighbours on the opening of their multi-use gym facility for use by our younger Bolton and Caledonites. A beautiful functional facility enhancing the opportunities for contribution to our Bolton and Caledon communities. Our Caledon active seniors' centre expansion will be the top of the crown. Yes!
