Rotarians laud Tournament On the third weekend of September, the weather couldn't have been more perfect as we had the honour of being the "gate keepers" for The Tournament of Champions at Palgrave's Equestrian Park - an incredible annual event that brought the finest horse jumpers from across North America competing for the John Deer Canada Cup & qualifying for world equestrian events. It was more than an event for the horse show enthusiast, as there are many facets to this weekend, which included a Re/Max Family Village of shows and events for kids of all ages; a merchants market; charity galas for Caledon's own Kids & Horses Foundation, Community Association for Riding for the Disabled (CARD) and The Children's Wish Foundation - where Tournament for the 10th year in a row granted the gift of a horse to three more wishing children. To date, this little horse show with a big heart has given away over $500,000 and 15 horses. The Palgrave Rotary Club is honoured to be a recipient of the Tournament's generosity. We would like to thank Tournament of Champions for coming to our small village of Palgrave and bringing this wonderful event to our community. We consider you a big part of our family, and are sure all of Caledon is thankful you are here. We look forward to preparing for a bigger and better party next year. Everyone's welcome!
