Charges laid as police bust Bolton grow-op

Friday, Oct. 26 at approximately 6:50 a.m. members of the Caledon OPP Street Crime and Crime Unit members executed a drug warrant for a marihuana grow operation at 305 Whitehead Crescent in Bolton.

As a result of the warrant, approximately two hundred marihuana plants and the related equipment for the indoor grow operation were located and seized. Total value of the seizure is estimated to be over $100,000.

Two Caledon residents were arrested and charged. Sixty-six-year-old Paul Belanger and 53-year-old Mary Walczyk have both been charged with Production of Marihuana, Possession of Marihuana for the purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Cocaine. A court date for both accused has been set for Dec. 3.
