school, and Gord Miller, Ontario's environmental commissioner, helped the Ontario Federation of Anglers and
Hunters, and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources stock the Credit River with Atlantic salmon fingerlings
Thursday morning at the Belfountain Conservation Area. Senior representatives from the Liquor Control Board of
Ontario and Churchill Cellars Ltd. also participated in the stocking of 500 fish that were raised in the nearby
Belfountain Community Hatchery run by OFAH member club volunteers. Beginning in January, Belfountain public
school pupils will run their own classroom hatchery in preparation for a spring release of fry.
