Tilson hosts 3rd annual seniors' expo

MP David Tilson, Elvie Orr (Karealot Health Services Inc.), Steve Elliott (Egan Funeral Home), Yin Han Siow (Shoppers Drug Mart - Bolton), and Constable Linda Kennedy (Caledon OPP) were on hand at the seniors' expo.

David Tilson, MP for Dufferin-Caledon, together with the Bolton District Probus Club, hosted his third annual Seniors Information Expo, Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Caledon Seniors' Centre, in Bolton. A number of local residents and Probus Club members participated in the Expo and listened to several presentations on a wide variety of topics important to seniors including safe medication use, identity theft protection, funeral planning, as well as home safety and security. Special guest speakers included representatives from Shoppers Drug Mart Bolton, Caledon OPP, Egan Funeral Home, and Karealot Health Services Inc.

Tilson acted as the MC for the expo.

"The topics covered today represent issues of significance to our local seniors. It is important that our senior citizen community have access to relevant and current information on these issues so they may improve their safety and have peace of mind," Tilson said.

He thanked the Bolton Probus Club for co-hosting the event and for working with him, to ensure this year's expo was yet another success.

Rogers Television was also present at the expo and filmed segments of the presentations, to be aired at a later date as a public service.
