Mayor is on the mend
By ALAN LICZYK Staff Reporter

Mayor Marolyn Morrison is walking with the aid of two canes after having bilateral knee replacement surgery last month.

The three-hour operation was done Sept. 27 at 7:45 a.m. in Toronto.

"I'm walking just fine," Morrison told the Citizen.

She explained she won't be chairing council in October but hopes to return in November.

People can still come to her house and they can still call her at home, she said.

She will be doing physiotherapy for three months.

She noted she waited nine months before she got to see the doctor and it was another 15 months before she had the surgery.
