Turkey dinner a hit

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 86th annual Palgrave Turkey Dinner another success!

With the help of more than 60 individuals, and the experience of the UCW, and the reputation of the annual dinner we were able to sell out, not run out of food, purchase local food, deliver a huge harvest feast and raise $5,100 from serving 472 dinners!

Thanks to everyone who helped, ate, peeled, shelled, baked, served and celebrated Thanksgiving with us.

The carbon footprint (more info coming to congregation through the environment committee and KAIROS) of the undertaking was extremely small - no disposables; very little compost (less than 20 kilos proves the food was eaten!); local food purchased avoiding green house gas emissions from big store transportation emissions, etc.

On behalf of the turkey task force team, congratulations to all. Thanks again for making the "thanks greening" of the turkey dinner such a success!
