Caledon Community Services secures gas tax funds

Caledon Community Services (CCS) has concluded an agreement with the Region of Peel to secure dedicated gas tax funds (DGT) on an annualized basis. These funds will be directed towards its accessible transportation program, allowing Caledon residents to increase their access to our expanding transportation services.

CCS was able to secure these additional funds through the extraordinary support and co-operation of the Region of Peel and the Town of Caledon. The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) provided on-going consultation and oversight to ensure that the partnership satisfied DGT criteria. In return, CCS has made a commitment to ensure an increase in ridership year over year, allowing the organization to meet the criteria for continued DGT funding from the province.
