Free afternoon with C3 coaches and board members

"Every day that I ride my bike, run or hike through Caledon I realize how blessed I am to live here," said former Olympic coach Barrie Shepley.

Shepley and his C3 Canadian Cross Training Club want to show the community how much they appreciate the great surroundings. C3 is extending a free afternoon of walking, hiking, running, road cycling or mt biking this Saturday, Oct. 13.

"Our goal on Saturday is to have a free afternoon where our athletes and coaches are out encouraging people and families of all ages and levels," said Shepley.

The concept is easy. Families and individuals simply need to show up at the Riverdale Fitness Mill in Inglewood on Maple Street this Saturday, Oct. 13. Decide whether you want to hike, run, walk, mt bike or road cycle (you must bring your own bike and helmet). Coaches and club members will lead some relaxed, social group sessions from 1-3 p.m.

"Our club goal is to have community friends and family out for two hours, enjoying one of the last great Saturday afternoons of 2007," said club cochairmen Bob Knuckey and Rick Jenner.

There is no cost, and C3 will supply the coaches, positive energy and a postexercise light snack. This fun afternoon will go rain or shine and all ages and levels are encouraged to come out and enjoy Caledon at its finest. To reserve a free spot email info@c3online.ca or call 905-838-2662.
