Cruisers at spectacular Fall Fair finale

Barb & Bob Moffatt presented Dan Clark with The Moffatt Family Best Of Show Award for his stunning black 56 Ford. Joining the presentation was Cruisers' president Rick Hayward.
With the weather being bright and warm the 2007 version of Caledon Cruisers at the Bolton Fall Fair was a great event. The Cruiser event began with 14 old vehicles joining the 149th annual Albion Bolton Fall Fair Parade, which wound its way through Bolton and onto the fairgrounds.

A total of 113 participants then were registered by Jean Hayward and Jamie Lloyd, given dash plaques, oil and water along with their goodie bags and the afternoon at one of Ontario's oldest country fairs in Ontario began. This year's car show brought the old car hobbyists from all over central southern Ontario to be enjoyed by the hundreds and hundreds of visitors to the fair.

Throughout the afternoon, Rogers Cable TV had a crew on site interviewing various participants and filming the vehicles on display. They expect the program will appear at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 and thereafter for about one week.

The judges for the event were Marilyn and Glenn Bruton, well know in the hobby as owners, restorers and builders of a '62 Corvette (hers) and a 1965 Cobra (his), each of which showed incredible quality and attention to the detail at the highest level.

Caledon Cruiser president Rick Hayward made the presentations to the award winners.

The Moffatt Family Best Of Show Award was presented by Bob & Barb Moffatt to Dan Clark of Brampton for his stunning black 56 Ford.

The AMC Owners Club of Southern Ontario and seven AMCs arrived while on tour and a Rebel owner, Eddy Lewis, was chosen to receive The Performance World Appreciation Award. Although there was no award given for the youngest owner, it was noted that 16- year-old Brydon Martin of Bolton was there with his beautifully detailed '92 Mercury Grande Marquis.

At the end of the afternoon, fair board president Shawn Mason and event organizer Scott Goodfellow extended their appreciation to the participants and the Caledon Cruisers Car Club then invited everyone to return next year for the 150th anniversary of the Albion/Bolton Fall Fair.
