Skylark expands gallery space, shows

The Skylark Framing & Fine Art Gallery in Bolton, has recently expanded its gallery space.

Through her daily contact with local artists, Skylark owner Dianne Olchowy, is constantly amazed at the high level of artistic talent in this area, and has decided to highlight this work in her gallery.

Blooms Away, an exquisite floral exhibition, in a multitude of media, is the first in a series of themed-shows that Olchowy is planning for the future.

Blooms Away features the gallery's core of selected regional artists such as Marianne Broome, Carol Cox, Cynthia Koelsch, Christine Paige, Jane Scott Barsanti, Tish Smith, Debra Usher and Freda Wrench. The show continues through Oct. 13.

Olchowy is particularly excited with the selection currently on display in the Gallery. She points out that there is a wonderful floral diversity, in assorted media such as: paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolour; pottery; jewelry and also beautifully hand-crafted afghans.

The public is welcome to drop in at any time, Tuesday to Saturday, to enjoy this show.

The Skylark Fine Art Gallery is located in the Blockbuster Plaza, at the corner of Queen Street South and Ellwood Drive West.
