Air quality results given for Bolton and Caledon

      Tests done by the Ministry of the Environment's environmental monitoring and reporting branch found the air quality in Bolton and Caledon is very similar to that in Brampton and Newmarket.

Amendments passed to fill bylaw

      To combat illegal fill hauling and fill dumping in the Town, Caledon council implemented two amendments to the fill bylaw last Tuesday. Mark Sraga, director of building and bylaw enforcement, told council the bylaw will assist Caledon OPP with enforcement.

No change to trash pickup
      There will be no change to the waste collection schedule in the Town of Caledon due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday Monday, Oct. 8. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected on your regularly scheduled waste collection day.

Location for GO is sought

      The Caledon fire department and Caledon council welcomed 25 new volunteer firefighters to last Tuesday's council meeting. Fire Chief Brad Bigrigg told council they bring various life skills and common sense to the job. "We rely on these people's skills on a daily basis," he said.
