Where are the large corporate donations? I noticed the large section dedicated to thanking the individuals and businesses that helped fund the Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club this past season. It is very gratifying to see all the small businesses and individuals who help fund community events and sports. However, what really bothered me was, where is Wal-Mart; Tim Hortons (with 2 locations in Bolton); Zehrs? These large businesses are certainly in a position to help the communities that support them, so why aren't they on the list? Why don't these large business enterprises find that it's indeed just plain good business sense to get involved in the Bolton community? I guess they've become complacent, as they feel certain that people will frequent their stores no matter what, unlike the small businesses that have to work harder to survive. Sad.
