      Another soccer season came to a close for the Caledon Soccer Club. It has been an eventful summer with good weather staying with us. This season brought our official affiliation with the Royal Racing Football Club Montegnee, in Belgium.

Husky of the Week
      Francis Bui is the first Humberview Husky athlete of the week for the new school year. Francis, 16, is involved in volleyball, table tennis and badminton at The 'View. The grade 12 student plays tennis in the community.

Cavalier Transportation delivers the goods

      Cavalier Transportation under 12 girls' house league team pulled through with a 4 -1 victory over Castle Dale Farms to achieve the Caledon Soccer Club championship. The two teams met twice on Cup Day, and both showed stamina and a drive to win throughout the games.

Tapas lunch helps 'Kids and Horses'
      As the Kids and Horses Foundation approaches its second anniversary, it is celebrating its many successes by holding a Spanish-themed Tapas lunch. The lunch will be in the VIP tent at the Tournament of Champions, held at the Caledon Equestrian Park, Palgrave, Friday, Sept. 21.

Farm fined for illegal pond
      Iron Horse Farms Inc. in Caledon has been fined $17,500 for illegal construction of a pond without a Niagara Escarpment Development Permit. The company pleaded guilty before the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon June 20. During October and November of 2005 Iron Horse Farms Inc.
