Cyclist injured in fail-to-remain collision

Monday, Sept. 10, at roughly 6:37 p.m. Caledon OPP and Caledon Emergency Services responded to a collision at Old School Road and Torbram Road in Caledon.

Witnesses reported to police that a white pickup truck was observed travelling westbound on Old School Road driving aggressively and passing other vehicles in an unsafe manner.

The witnesses state the pickup truck approached the intersection of Old School Road and Torbram Road, failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a cyclist on the roadway. The truck then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, westbound on Old School Road.

Police are looking for information regarding the suspect vehicle, which is described as a white Dodge pickup truck with a black lift gate on the back.

The cyclist, a 35-year-old male from Brampton was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
