Two bag standard for garbage starts Oct. 1
      Starting Oct. 1, the Region of Peel is moving from a three bag to a two bag standard for garbage collection. "The Region's goal is to divert 70% of waste from disposal by 2016," said Councillor Elaine Moore, chair of the environment, transportation and planning services committee.

Contract to fix the ABCC
      The contract for making improvements at the Albion Bolton Community Centre was recently awarded by Caledon council to Hansam General Contractor Ltd. of Mississauga for its low bid of $175,227 plus GST. There were two other companies making bids ranging in price from $182,452.83 to $220,030.18.

Lingwood honoured on Walk of Fame
      Another milestone in the ongoing evolution of the Caledon Trailway included the induction of the 2007 Caledon Walk of Fame recipient. Caledon East resident Daphne Lingwood was honoured with her stone during a ceremony Sunday afternoon.
