Adwoa Adu
Local in Ghana

Adwoa Adu of Caledon is one of the three people in Ontario selected to participate in an international development program hosted by Canadian Crossroads International (CCI). Adwoa will be going to Ghana to work with women and children in communities impacted by HIV/AIDS.

"In light of recent news stories of political, economical and social challenges around the world, I feel committed to sharing my skills and experiences to assist development both locally and globally, and promote international cooperation;" said Adwoa Adu, CCI participant.

For almost 50 years, CCI has fostered cross-cultural learning and understanding in Canada and abroad. CCI works to build the capacity of grassroots organizations in developing countries by facilitating long-term partnerships between Southern ad Canadian groups working on similar issues. CCI projects are focused in three sectors: poverty reduction through community economic development; mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS, and respecting human rights.

Support from the Caledon community is much appreciated. Feel free to visit cciorg.ca or contact Adu at 647-801-8582.
