STREET ART IN CALEDON
 | | Craig Marwood, president of EcoMedia Direct Inc., Mayor Marolyn Morrison, Mark Pavilons, Editor of the Caledon Citizen, and well-known Canadian Artist David Arathoon. Pavilons, of Caledon, was selected from more than 160 names entered in the EcoMedia Direct online draw to win an original oil painting (Pines on the Ridge) by David Arathoon, as part of the EcoMedia Direct Street Art Program. The program was launched in Toronto last month to communicate the importance of art and recycling in public spaces. Erich Genseberger, EcoMedia Direct CEO, expects more than 100 Street Art Recycling Bins on the streets by year-end to further beautify the city's streetscape and revitalize the company's SilverBox Recycling Program in Toronto. The recycling bin, pictured here, features the paintings of Toronto-based artist Arathoon. EcoMedia Direct, operated by two Caledon residents, hopes to make Caledon even cleaner with their Public Space SilverBox recycling bins and talks are under way with the Town of Caledon. |
