OPP charge man with production of cannabis

Caledon OPP officers responded to 14 property damage and two personal injury collisions during the week of Aug. 20-26.

Alcohol & Driving

August 26, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Light Heart Drive in Caledon. Arrested at scene was Aaron Johnston, 47, of Brampton with excess blood alcohol.

August 26, police stopped a vehicle on Regional Road 50 at King Street North and arrested Brian Morgan, 41, of Colgan, Ontario charged with impaired driving, excess blood alcohol and dangerous driving.

August 25, police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver and stopped a motor vehicle on Old Church Road. Charged was Andrey WOOL, 31, of Thornhill with excess blood alcohol.

August 24, police stopped a motor vehicle at King Street and Temperance in Bolton, arresting Pasquale Belcastro, 29, of Weston, who was charged with the offence of excess blood alcohol.

August 24, Caledon OPP, while conducting a RIDE spot check at Highway 10 and Valleywood arrested and charged Lacey Lynda Masters, 19, of Caledon with excess blood alcohol.

August 22, while conducting a RIDE spot check on Castlederg Sideroad Caledon OPP arrested and charged Frank Cappellano, 48, of Barrie, with impaired operation and excess blood alcohol.

Drugs

August 23, Caledon OPP stopped a vehicle on Regional Road 50 near Palgrave for a traffic violation. Officers located a quantity of drugs in the vehicle and subsequently arrested Michael Turosky, 18, of Caledon, charged with trafficking a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

August 24, Caledon OPP were dispatched to a home on Healey Road and upon arrival located a quantity of drugs. Charged with Possession of Cannabis Marijuana - over 3 kilograms and Production of Cannabis Marijuana, Assault and Forcible Confinement is Henryk Olejniczak, 51, of Kleinburg.

Break & Enter

August 22, a business on King Street in Bolton was entered by smashing a door window.

August 26, 2007 a business on Queen Street in Bolton was entered by removing the front door window. Culprits made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Theft

August 22, bikes were stolen from the properties located on Elwood Drive and Loontail Street in Bolton.

August 22, an unlocked motor vehicle was entered on Taylorwood Ave. removing a cell phone and cash.

August 22, a number of vehicles in the Taylorwood Ave. area had vehicle emblems removed while parked in their driveways.

Firearms Licence

All owners of firearms are reminded to maintain a current firearms licence with the Canadian Firearms Centre. Anyone who has allowed their licence to lapse will be receiving a visit from the Caledon OPP subject to investigation.
