Founder to speak at B&DHS
By Patti Baker

With autumn approaching, the Thursday, Sept. 6 speaker at the Bolton & District Horticultural Society will be quite timely. The B&DHS founding president, Brenda Heenan, will be giving a talk on planting now for spring bulbs and their companion plants.

With an educational background in horticulture and garden design from Guelph University, Heenan is also the District 15 Director of the Ontario Horticultural Association, chair of OHA's social marketing committee and webmaster for the OHA Web site, gardenontario.org. All this and she still manages to do garden designs as a business!

Meetings start at 7:30 p.m. at the Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness and are free to members, $3 to the public and $2 to members of other horticultural societies. For information, call Cathy Brown at 905-857-1460.
