BIA's summer beautification

Verona and Rex Teskey, along with Tony Arruda, helped get the large, beautiful planters ready for the BIA's beautification efforts.
Everyone no doubt, has noticed and been enjoying the summer beautification of the historic downtown Bolton core.

The Business Improvement Area (BIA) has worked extremely hard to add colour, beauty, practicality and convenience into the downtown streetscape plan, which has included extensive flower planting, the buying of new sidewalk planters, new Victorian-style garbage containers (old ones repainted), light standards being painted (thanks to the Town of Caledon) and the facelift that the pumping station by the river is undergoing, due to the efforts of the Region of Peel.

As a community, we benefit greatly from the time, wisdom and effort this small, hard-working group (BIA) continually has to offer. The monies for these historic downtown core projects comes directly from the property owners who have businesses in this area. It seems only fitting to acknowledge and thank the many people involved over the last several years in these beautification efforts: Brite Millwork Ltd. Inc., George Sant & Sons Ltd., Tony Arruda, Rob Miller, Andrew Firth and the participating merchants & the BIA executive, with special thanks to BIA secretary, Shirley Hoppler.
