Final link complete to McEwan Drive East

Construction of the connection of McEwan Drive East to Commercial Road in Bolton was recently completed by the Town's contractor IL Duca Contracting Inc. of Toronto. The Town of Caledon officially opened the road to traffic August 10.

"The completed link along McEwan Drive East provides improved access and circulation for motorists to the south Bolton commercial area," commented Mayor Marolyn Morrison.

In addition to the road works, new sidewalks, streetscaping and enhanced street lighting have been placed in the south boulevards. These upgrades improve safety for pedestrians accessing the theatre, restaurants and shopping centres in the area.

All work was completed within the construction time schedules required by Public Works & Engineering staff, and within the approved 2007 Capital Budget.
