Man arrested following assault in Inglewood

Caledon OPP Officers responded to four property damage and one personal injury collision during the week of Aug. 7-12.

Alcohol & Driving

Monday, Aug. 6, a traffic complaint on Waterbury Street in Bolton led to criminal charges. Bogdan Gorun, 53, of Caledon, was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He will appear in court Sept. 6.

Monday, Aug. 6, a vehicle stop on Ann Street in Bolton for Highway Traffic Act enforcement resulted in a criminal charge. Gary Phillips, 47, of Caledon, was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He will appear in court Sept. 6.

Wednesday, Aug. 8, Gary Williams, 49, of Caledon, was charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and Mischief, when he was observed by an officer exiting a business driveway located on Old Church Road. The officer observed the vehicle drive over a gate that would normally block the business entrance. A vehicle stop was initiated on Duffy's Lane and Old Church Road. Court date was set for Sept. 20.

Thursday, Aug. 9, a driver was charged following a single vehicle rollover on Mayfield Road near Torbram Road. Filipe Vau, 25, of Toronto, was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date was set for Sept. 20.

Friday, Aug. 10, a criminal charge was laid following a traffic stop on Queen Street in Bolton. Kevin Deliberato, 21, of Woodbridge, was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle- Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date was set for Sept. 20.

Assault

Monday, Aug. 6, Jordene Dawe, 25, of Brampton, was charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Theft-Over after he attempted to steal a pickup truck from a Lorne Street driveway in Inglewood. The homeowner came out of his home as Dawe was backing the vehicle out of the driveway. A confrontation between the two occurred at which time Dawe fled on foot into a nearby bush. Police were called and a short time later Dawe was arrested when he was observed walking down the street by another homeowner. Dawe will appear in court Sept. 6.

Break & Enter

Monday, Aug. 6, a Healey Road business in Bolton was entered sometime between the evening of Aug. 4 and the morning of Aug. 6. The culprit(s) had smashed a front window to gain access to the building. Cash was reported stolen from the building.

Drugs

Monday, Aug. 6, a vehicle stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation led to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana. Hank Van Harten, 19, of Orangeville, will appear in court Sept. 17 in answer to the charge.

Friday, Aug. 10, Eric Oliver, 25, of Vaughan, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana and Having Open Liquor in a Public Place following a police check on Sterne Street in Bolton. Court date was set for Sept. 10.

Mischief

Tuesday, Aug. 7, police received reports of graffiti damage and broken windows at St. Nicholas school in Bolton.

Tuesday, Aug. 7, a business located on Innis Lake Road was damaged by spray paint. The exterior of the building had been damaged by graffiti sometime overnight.

Friday, Aug. 10, graffiti damage was reported on a pumping station building located on Robert Carson Drive in Caledon East.

Saturday, Aug. 11, two washing machines were damaged by vandals at a laundromat located on Queen Street in Bolton.

Sunday, Aug. 12, a vehicle parked at an Ivan Avenue residence in Caledon East was scratched and damaged sometime overnight.

Theft

Monday, Aug. 6, a fence surrounding a business on Nixon Road in Bolton was damaged allowing access to the yard. Several large aluminum planks were reported stolen.

Monday, Aug. 6, an unlocked vehicle parked at a Louise Street residence in Inglewood was entered sometime over the weekend. The car stereo was reported stolen.

Wednesday, Aug. 8, a locked vehicle left parked at a conservation area on Highway 10 had its passenger side window smashed. Culprit(s) then entered and stole a purse, camera and wallet with identification that were all left in plain view.

Thursday, Aug. 9, during the night hours, a locked motor home was broken into while parked in a Strawberry Hill Court driveway in Bolton. A digital camera and a quantity of tools were reported stolen.

Friday, Aug. 10, several tools were reported stolen from a work truck and trailer at a site of a home under construction on Winston Churchill Boulevard in Caledon.

Saturday, Aug.11, golf clubs were reported stolen from a garage of a King Street near Highway 10 in Caledon.
