Firefighters open house

The Mono Mills firefighters are inviting the public to an open house Saturday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the fire station at the northeast corner of Highway 9 and Airport Road.

The day's events include:

• Auto extrication demo.

• 50 free smoke alarms to giveaways.

• Learn to make a home escape plan.

• Meet your community firefighters.

• Kids activities.

• Free fire safety information.

• Fire safety house.

There will also be a complimentary pancake breakfast. Sponsored by Caledon East IGA.
