PROCTORS MARK THEIR 80TH
The Proctor twins, Gerald Samuel and Douglas William, celebrated their 80th

birthday July 17 with their families. The twins were born July 17, 1927, to William

Samuel Proctor and Annie (Faulkner) Proctor, and delivered by Dr. Gerald and Dr.

Douglas at the Toronto General Hospital. The boys weighed in at over 8 pounds

each and the two doctors who delivered them asked their mother to name the

babies in their honour which she did. Both Doug and Gerald have lived all 80 years

in the village of Caledon East and each of them served on council for the village.

Doug was a councillor on the first council in 1957 and Gerald was reeve on the last

council in 1973.
