IngleWoodstock is set to rock this weekend

There's a lot of buzz these days in Inglewood. A music event is happening on Aug. 24-25.

In aid of Bethell House Hospice the residents are volunteering their time and efforts organizing an outdoor concert called Inglewoodstock. With bands such as illScarlett and Sydney for Friday and Rolly Rocker and the Hemiheads, Audio Slap, the Royal Crowns and the Houseplants on Saturday there is a great mix of music for all ages and tastes.

"We are thrilled by the enthusiasm all the participants have for this event," said Nell Crathern, one of the organizing committee members.

Although ticket sales are "happening" and there is a lot of interest in this event organizers are concerned about the procrastinators who have not as yet bought their tickets. They may find there are not enough tickets available at the gate.

Tickets can be reserved by contacting inglenell@rogers.com but will only be held until 1 p.m. then sold. There is a list of ticket vendors on the Web site at www.inglewoodstock. com, a map to Inglewood and a list of all the bands. The venue is an intimate outdoor event with limited ticket sales of 1,000 tickets per day. Pricing is $25 per person and $45 for a two-day pass.

Barbecued food and beverages including vegetarian fare will on sale with a beer tent addition on Saturday. The bands will be bringing their CDs as well as any souvenirs for sale.
