PARNABY FIRST VOLUNTEER CHAMPION

Tayler Parnaby was recently honoured by Caledon council as Caledon's first Volunteer Champion. He the chief correspondent for CFRB and received Canada's top broadcasting award, the President's Award. He has more than 50 years experience in broadcasting. His other achievements include numerous gold medals for excellence in broadcasting, the People's Choice Award, president of News Radio and Ottawa Bureau Chief, named a Paul Harris fellow by Rotary International and 23 years speaking to youth in Caledon through Camp Enterprise. He has covered major events like the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the funeral of Princess Diana, the Columbine shootings and he was in New York for Sept. 11, 2001. He's also been the MC for the Caledon Volunteer Awards for the last 10 years. Joining him in the presentation were his wife Lynda, Mayor Marolyn Morrison and councillors Richard Whitehead, Doug Beffort, Richard Paterak, Allan Thompson, Nick deBoer, Annette Groves, Gord McClure and Jason Payne.
