Peace Ranch holds annual gourmet dinner
The company was excellent and included many from the Town of Caledon, who have always been supportive of Peace Ranch. Gilles Roche of Gourmandissimo again worked his magic with a feast typical of Provence. And the tables were beautiful with flowers provided by Bolton Florist. This year the dinner was partially sponsored by Designed Precision Castings of Brampton. Thank you to all of you who made this evening so successful. There were many delightful items for the silent auction. Perhaps the hit of the sale were the beautiful grape-vine baskets overflowing with flowers. The baskets were made by Peace Ranch Green Spaces day program participants, volunteers, and staff all working together in the big old barn. The other wonderful auction items were provided by Calm Waters Day Spa, Erica Pratt, Bob Hanrahan, Gabrielle Fischer, Chesslawn Vineyards, Gourmandissimo, Howard the Butcher, and Chezcora Restaurants. We are fortunate in having such strong support from the community. Thank you so very much. Peace Ranch is a farm residence for people with serious mental illness. We house 10 residents and provide 24/7 care. We also have less supportive housing in two townhouses in Brampton with seven residents. In our day program we serve 96 unique individuals from the communities of Orangeville, Bolton, Brampton, Caledon East and out to Fergus. What we do is necessary and successful.
