Herb Campbell public school held its first annual Snap Math Fair in its gym recently. Grade 7 pupils Qaitlin Singh (left) and Chelsea Corkish (right) display their project called Towers of Marshmallows. The smallest number of marshmallows had to be on top.
Grade 6 pupils Keri Martin (left) and Kelsey Clarke (right) had two projects on display. This one was called Lights On! The goal was to turn on all the lights. Their other project was called A Royal Riddle.
Kung Fu Frog was the project made by Grade 8 pupils Yasmin Moncrieffe (left) and Lauren Roy (right). Sammie the Frog was injured in a Kung Fu match and had to visit the doctor, but he could only hop on one foot and had to do it in a certain number of leaps.
The River Challenge was the project of Grade 3 pupils Lily Cooper (left) and Tess Routliffe (right). In this display, the farmer, the chicken, the fox and the corn were on one side and had to get to the other side of the river but only two could go in the boat at a time.
