A different kind of paperwork at the Art Gallery of Peel
Until Aug. 18

The Art Gallery of Peel invites you to enjoy its newest exhibition, Paperwork: Selections from the Permanent Collection.

On view until Aug. 18, Paperwork combines contemporary and historic works by artists such as Harold Klunder, Robert Motherwell, June Drutz, Leonard Hutchinson, and Caroline and Frank Armington.

"Paperwork is a perfect opportunity to introduce the Peel community to the calibre of works in the Art Gallery's permanent collection," said David Somers, curator of the Peel Heritage Complex. "With over 4,000 works on paper alone, this exhibition is only a small fraction of the art housed within our extensive collection."

Beginning with a donation of prints by Frank and Caroline Armington in 1984, the Art Gallery of Peel has gathered a significant collection of works on paper and this exhibition showcases some of the most prominent of these works.

For more information about Paperwork: Selections from the Permanent Collection or the Peel Heritage Complex, visit peelheritagecomplex.org.

The Peel Heritage Complex is operated by the Region of Peel and is located at 9 Wellington St. E. in Brampton. The complex is open to the public, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; weekends from noon to 4:30 p.m.; and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.

During the month of August, the Peel Heritage Complex will be closed on Thursday evenings and Sundays. Admission fees are $2.50 for adults; $1.50 for seniors; $1 for students; and $7 for families.

The Peel Heritage Complex is made up of the Region of Peel Museum, the Art Gallery of Peel and the Region of Peel Archives. Together they collect, preserve and display a variety of materials related to Peel's heritage.
