Garden Foods hosts 5th annual tourney

Garden Foods Market in Bolton is practising its swing against poverty. August 8 they will host the 5th annual Garden Foods Golf Tournament in support of Caledon Community Services.

The highly awaited tournament will be held again at Glen Eagle Golf Club north of Bolton on Regional Road 50. This spectacular community event is expected to be a record breaker with Garden Foods customers and suppliers expecting to raise more than $30,000.

"These greatly needed funds will allow Caledon Community Services to provide basic human services not offered through government programs," said Debbie Malevris, of CCS. With the help of Garden Foods, CCS can maintain food vouchers to feed hungry families, help with emergency housing or heating in the winter.

"We need to recognize the need to invest in our own community," said Garden Foods owner Piero Carbone. This day belongs to the entire community. If you would like to participate in this heralded tournament by golfing, donating a silent auction item or sponsoring a hole, please contact Debbie Malevris at 905-951-2300 or 905-584-9460.
