Man arrested after fleeing on foot

At roughly 8:50 a.m. July 11, a Caledon officer responding to call of a suspicious person on Willow Street in Bolton, observed a male who was known to the officer to be wanted by police.

After making eye contact with the police officer, the male fled on foot in the area of Elm Street towards the shopping mall on King Street near Queen Street in Bolton. The male was located attempting to hide in some bushes by the fence line of the shopping mall. The male was arrested without further incident.

Caledon OPP would like to thank the residents in the area who assisted the police officers involved, by supplying the officers with updated information on the suspect's whereabouts during the brief foot chase.

Anthony Galati, 26, of Caledon was apprehended on two outstanding warrants for his arrest and was held for a bail hearing.
