U9 boys bring home the gold

Pictured is the Bolton Wanderers under 9 boys' competitive team, who won gold at Etobicoke and made it to the finals of the recent Barrie tournament.
Sporting a 5-0 record, the Wanderers' boys' under 9 competitive squad recently brought home the gold from the Etobicoke Youth Soccer Tournament!

It was the second time in the past few weeks that the Under 9s had advanced to a tournament final, and this time around the lads were not to be denied.

Determination fuelled a 2-1 win in the tourney's opener against Etobicoke Gunners, which was followed by two shutout victories: 4-0 over Etobicoke Energy, and 2-0 against West End United.

Things were certainly rolling Bolton's way, and in the semifinal, Woodbridge Strikers went down to the Wanderers 2-1. The final saw the Wanderers take to the pitch against West End United. And, in a fiercely contested match, Bolton would earn its third shutout of the tournament 2-0 and the right to be called "champions!"

Congratulations go out to head coach Frank Fontana, assistant coach, Matthew Ryan, manager Marina Digiovanni and the true stars of the team: William Bidzios, Massimo Bonsignore, Pietro Bruccoleri, Matthew Cardadeiro, Christopher Cola, Antonio DiGiovanni, Matthew Ficele, Alexander Lucente, Rocco Marinaccio, David Ryan, Courtney Smith, and Sammy Valotta.

The Bolton Wanderers' under 9 boys' competitive squad is proudly sponsored by All-Metal Fabricating Limited, Crabby Joe's, International Clothiers, and TF Equipment.
