Furniture delivery charged with impaired

Caledon OPP officers responded to 20 property damage and eight personal injury collisions during the week of June 18-24.

Alcohol & Driving

Wednesday, June 20, a vehicle stop on Scott Road near Mount Hope Road led to criminal charges for the driver. Klaus Huhn, 65, of Caledon, was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He will appear in court July 26.

Saturday, June 23, a vehicle stop for a RIDE spot check on Highway 136 near Porterfield Road resulted in charges. Robert Osborne, 52, of Erin, was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He will appear in court July 26.

Saturday, June 23, a homeowner on Heart Lake Road called police after two men arrived at his home to deliver furniture that he had ordered from a furniture store. Both delivery men appeared to be intoxicated. The delivery truck driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. Dean Rowntree, 37, of Norval, was given a court date of July 26.

Saturday, June 23, a routine traffic stop on Highway 10 and The Grange Sideroad led to charges for the driver, 48-year-old Jan Spragg of Brampton. She will appear in court July 26, charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood.

Break & Enter

Monday, June 18, a Willoughby Road residence was entered by prying open a window. The home was entered during the daytime hours.

Wednesday, June 20, sometime overnight, a construction site on Halls Lake Side Road was entered. Several power tools have been reported stolen from the property.

Wednesday, June 20, culprit( s) attempted to break in to a utility trailer parked beside a home on Kennedy Road.

Friday, June 22, during the night hours, two homeowners on Torbram Road report their homes were entered. Cash and a BB gun were reported stolen.

Saturday, June 23, a Queen Street business in Bolton was entered by breaking of the glass front window. A cash register and six pairs of white FILA shoes were stolen.

Sunday, June 24, a business located in a plaza at Queensgate Boulevard and Regional Road 50 was entered during the night hours. The front door of the business was damaged allowing access to the building. The building owner is preparing a list of items stolen.

Drugs

Thursday, June 21, a traffic stop on Highway 10 north of King Street resulted in charges for the female driver. Nancy Kilby, 40, of Orangeville, was charged with Possession Schedule I - Cocaine, Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance. She was held for a bail hearing June 22.

Saturday, June 23, a traffic stop on St. Andrew's Road in Caledon resulted in drug charges for both the female driver and passenger. The driver, 23-year-old Rebecca Bloor of Brampton, and passenger, 22-year-old Candice Collins of Brampton, were both charged with Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana. Court date for both has been set for July 30.

Mischief

Monday, June 18, four male youths were observed in a black, four-door vehicle on Country Stroll Crescent in Bolton. As the vehicle passed a loud pop was heard and a rear window of a vehicle parked on the roadway was shattered by what appeared to be a pellet gun. A window of another vehicle on the same street was also shattered. Anyone with information regarding this occurrence or possible individuals involved is asked to contact the investigating officer, PC Prodger at the Caledon OPP-Bolton office, 905-857-3304.

Tuesday, June 19, vandals gained access to a construction site at a school on Kingsview Drive in Bolton by cutting a fence. A door handle and window of a construction trailer were damaged and a backhoe had been tampered with.

Wednesday, June 20, sometime over the previous two days, a car tire was punctured by a sharp object while left parked in a Holmes Drive driveway in Mono Mills.

Thursday, June 21, two school buses were reported damaged by vandals during the night hours while left parked in a school parking lot on Bolton Heights Road. Windows of the buses had been smashed.

Friday, June 22, car tires were damaged by punctures while parked overnight in a Cross Country Boulevard driveway.

Saturday, June 23, the wall of a school on Harvest Moon Drive was damaged by graffiti spray paint.

Sunday, June 24, at about 10:30 p.m., two male youth were observed attempting to over turn large flower pots located at a Bolton area plaza.

Saturday, June 16, damages were caused to school buses parked at a Bolton Heights Drive school in Bolton during the late evening hours. Youth were seen smashing the bus windows.

Recovered Vehicles

Monday, June 11, a pickup truck that had been reported stolen from York Region was located abandoned on Centreville Creek in Caledon.

Saturday, June 16, a car that had been stolen from the Brampton area was located abandoned on the side of Boston Mills Road. Damages had been caused to the passenger side of the vehicle and the ignition had been punched.

Sunday, June 17, a black pickup truck was stolen from the driveway of an Allan Drive residence sometime overnight.

Recovered Vehicles

Tuesday, June 19, a backhoe was reported stolen during the night hours. The equipment had been left parked in a lot off of McEwan Drive in Bolton.

Thursday, June 21, a vehicle was stolen from a driveway on The Grange Sideroad in Caledon. The vehicle was stolen during the daytime hours.

Saturday, June 23, a camper trailer that had been reported stolen to Peel Regional Police was located abandoned in a farmers field at Patterson Sideroad and Centreville Creek Road. The trailer was recovered without damages.

Sunday, June 24, a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Toronto was located abandoned in a driveway of an Innis Lake Road residence. No damages had been caused to the vehicle.

Theft

Monday, June 18, during the night hours, tools and materials were stolen from a construction site on McEwan Drive in Bolton. Due to the size and weight of the items taken a truck would have been used to conduct this theft.

Monday, June 18, an outboard motor has been reported stolen from a King Street property. The motor had been taken from a dingy that was out in the front yard listed as for sale.

Tuesday, June 19, flower baskets were reported stolen from an Airport Road property sometime overnight.

Wednesday, June 20, during the daytime hours, a skill saw was removed from a parked motor vehicle on Dovaston Gate in Bolton.

Sunday, June 24, an unlocked vehicle parked at a Shaw's Creek Road property was entered sometime overnight. The vehicle's ownership, a driver's licence and a cell phone were all taken from within the vehicle.

Sunday, June 24, a dirt bike was reported stolen from the front of a Highway 9 residence during the afternoon hours.

Domestic Disputes

Caledon OPP officers responded to eight domestic disputes between June 18- 24. Charges were laid in Bolton June 18 and 19.

Officers responded to nine domestic disputes between June 11 and 17. Charges were laid in Bolton June 12.
