Exciting Inglwood Ball Hockey League playoff action begins Double action excitement for the opening week of IBHL round robin play! June 19 Valleywood Longhorns 7, Andrews Truck Centre 2 Point getters for the Longhorns were Adam Minatel, Matt Mazzaferro, Matt McKay, Lucas Simonetta, Mike Sagona, Andrew Parps, Matt DeSales, and Ryan Spiteri. B. Andrews' sharp shooters were Korbin Purchase Jr. from Mike Vatcher and Ross Porter, and Travis Vincent from Vatcher. Gould Fasteners 7, Freezerland 0 Paul Felker stood tall between the pipes for Gould as they were able to hold off the Freezerland advances. Getting on the score sheet for Gould were Jesse Leitch, Tom Hunter, Joe D'Sousa, Jason Puopolo, Glenn Holmes, Rob Horton, Steve Corrigia, Justin Dixon, Dave Stemming, and Sean Thompson. Mr. Handyman 4, CEAV 3 In a close one CEAV weren't able to hold off the Mr. Handyman hammers. Net nabbers For Handyman were Paul Medeiros from Mike Cerveira and Claudio Ramalo, Pat Cerveira from Kyle Stojisn, Medeiros from Bobby Evong and Evong from Medeiros and M. Cerveira. CEAV snipers were Alex Ball from Scott Matheson and Brad Davis, Chris Teeter from Ball and Kyle Wonfor, and Curtis Gregson from Ball. June 21 Blue Team 7, Sports Unlimited 5 Sports and Blue had a close match and made a great game of things with Blue' first period markers being the difference. Point getters for Blue were Matt & Wade Speirs, Ian and Matt Wilkinson, Corey and Shawn Heron, Geoff Christie, Craig Shaw and John Uren. Sports game sheet getters were Tony Sousa, Steve Sauve, Jeremy Ciccerelli, Adam Montgomery and Aidan Maloney. Carney Plumbing 4, CEAV 2 In another close one Carney was able to hold off the burgeoning power of CEAV and secure the win. Twine ticklers for Carney were Colin Gosling from Brian Dunn and Chris Taylor, Brandon Looby from Mike Zimmerman and Kevin Alves, Looby from Zimmerman and Alves, and Zimmerman from Ryan Zimmerman and Kelly Regan. CEAV marks men were Scott Matheson from Curtis Gregson, and Bruce Morris (unassisted). Gould Fasteners 5, Lockyer Harrison Law 3 Gould gave as good as they got and were able to slow the young guns down to hold on for the win. Scoring for Gould were Jason Puopolo (2g), Tom Hunter (1g, 2a), Joe D'Sousa (1a), Jesse Leitch (1g, 2a), Dave Stemming (1a), and Justin Dixon (1a). LH Law bin bulgers were Mike Garvie from Mitch Nail and Dave Slokar, Nail (unassisted), and Chris Bajc (unassisted). Regular season ends The IBHL regular season ends without much hoopla or many surprises. June 12 Mr. Handyman 3, Valleywood Longhorns 1 Mr. Handyman played tight defensive hockey and were able to hold the leagues leading scorer (Adam Minatel) to just a single point, and earn the win. Pat Cerveira from Kyle Stojisn got the ball rolling for Handyman, while Paul Medeiros from Terek Maamari and Bobby Evong from Shawn Cerveira rounded out the scoring. Valleywood got on the board with Andrew Parps from Minatel. Blue Team 8, B. Andrews 1 Blue with another win clinches the regular season for their 2nd straight season. Scoring for Blue were Shawn Heron, Brad, Wade and Matt Speirs, Matt Wilkinson, and Geoff Christie, helpers were from Todd Elson, Speirs, Corey Heron, and Ian Wilkinson. B. Andrews's sniper was Korbin Purchase Jr. from Mike Vatcher. Lockyer Harrison Law 6, Caledon East Audio Video 3 Lamp lighting for the LH Law legal beagles were Kyle Sousa (1g, 2a), Justin Beraldo (1g), Ryan Wilde (2a), Luke Maxwell (1g, 1a), Chris Bajc (1g, 1a), Mitch Nail (3a), Stuart Morawski (1g), and Mike Garvie (1g). CEAV sharp Shooters were Alex Ball (unassisted), Nick Bowes-Henry from Scott Matheson and Ball, and Brock Hill from Matheson and Alex Hogg. |
