Bolton Wanderers' U16 boys remain undefeated
Coach Carlo Fantin pointed to several reasons for squad's early success beginning with this past winter when many of the team's players saw fit in coming together and playing in the Ontario Indoor Soccer League. The move has resulted in a quick jump to the top of the standings through improved team play. Hard work, dedication, along with a fresh new attitude among players and coaching staff alike has also contributed to the rebuilding of this premier division squad. New faces in the 2007 boys U16 lineup include Justin Caruana, Stephen Costa, Daniel Kaminski, Michael Medeiros, Kendrick Morales, David Sakkunna, Brian Turner, Justin Viveiros, David Caruana (trainer) and Allison Sweeney (manager). Returning players and staff include Matthew Bradley, Alexander Fantin, Alessandro Giovinazzo, Alexander Martino, Christopher Mete, Daniel Rosbottom, Justin Scaini, Dwayne Smith, Terence Smith, Tristan Sweeney- Hendricks and Andrew Hendricks (asst. coach). Finally, there's been the support of the Bolton Wanderers' club itself. Under new club head coach Billy McKenna, the Wanderers have stepped up technical and overall support for all of Bolton's traveling teams. And, the Boys Under 16s are prime example of the quality competitive teams that grace the fields at Edelweiss. Part of the improved team record has been the play of the goalkeepers and defenders. |
