Brampton duo charged during spot check Caledon OPP officers responded to 20 property damage and three personal injury collisions during the week of June 11-17. Thursday, June 14, police conducted a traffic stop after complaints from another motorist on Highway 9 near Tottenham Road. As a result, 46-year-old Robert Lake of Mississauga was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date has been set for July 19. Thursday June 14, 47- year-old Micheal Fortney of Gravenhurst has been charged with Impaired Driving and Failure to Provide Breath Sample following a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act offence on Regional Road 50 near George Bolton Parkway. Court date has been set for July 12. Friday, June 15, a driver involved in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 near Beech Grove Sideroad was charged. Alain Michaud, 40, of Pelee Island, was charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle and Drive While Under Suspension. He was held for a bail hearing June 16. Sunday, June 17, officers responding to a single motor vehicle collision on Winston Churchill Boulevard in Terra Cotta charged the involved driver. Josef Wurfbaum, 69, of Burlington, was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle- Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and his has been given a court date of July 26. Sunday, June 17, Caledon officers responded to a Caledon conservation area off Regional Road 50 in response to an intoxicated male. Alexander Kratchenko, 38, of Thornhill, was charged with Impaired Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and will appear in court July 26. Break & Enter Wednesday, June 13, an Ingleview Drive residence in Inglewood was entered during the afternoon hours. The rear door to the home had been kicked in. A list of missing items is not yet known. While investigating this break and enter, officers discovered that the neighbouring residence had also been entered through a rear door at about the same time. Wednesday, June 13, a home on Brookstone Court in Mayfield West was entered during the afternoon hours by breaking a rear window of the home. Jewellery has been reported stolen from the home. Friday, June 15, a snack bar building in the Caledon East soccer park was entered during the night hours. The doorknob was removed to gain access. Chips and beverages have been reported stolen. Drugs Tuesday, June 12, a RIDE spot check at Queen Street and Main Street in Alton resulted in the arrest of 56- year-old Anatol Senin of Orangeville. Senin was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and will attend court July 23. Saturday, June 16, a traffic stop on Regional Road 50 near McEwan Road resulted in the arrest of the driver. Stephen Millar, 37, of Caledon, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing June 17. Theft Tuesday, June 12, front and rear licence plates as well as vehicle ownership papers were stolen from a vehicle parked overnight at a business parking lot on Marconi Court in Bolton. Wednesday, June 13, many reports were made regarding vehicles entered during the night hours in the Bolton north hill area. Vehicles entered were parked on Forest Gate Avenue, Egan Crescent, Taylorwood Avenue, Manorwood Court and Vantagebrook Court. Items taken from these vehicles include a briefcase, golf clubs and digital camera. Another vehicle was entered on Valleybrae Court in Mayfield West and a portable DVD player was taken. A vehicle left parked at a business lot on Highway 10 was also entered and tools were stolen from that location. Thursday, June 14, a chain was cut to gain access to a property with a home under construction on Escarpment Sideroad in Caledon. A hot tub was stolen from the property. Criminal Charges Thursday, June 14, Caledon officers conducting a RIDE spot check on Highway 10, south of the The Grange Sideroad stopped a car resulting in criminal charges for both the driver and the passenger. The driver, a 17-year-old male from Brampton was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He will appear in court July 9. The passenger, 25-year-old Sheldon Ledford of Brampton, was charged with Breach of Probation and will attend court July 5.
