Shelter supported

Satuday, June 2, I was at Zehrs (thank you John Porter & June) with a display table offering information and accepting donations from customers, on behalf of the Caledon Animal Shelter.

A mother and her 11-year-old daughter approached the table and presented a cheque donation for the shelter.

The grade 6, student, Colleen Cathcart, explained that she, along with five other Holy Family School students had raised this money for the shelter. They had a fund-raising event where they did a "guess the number of gumballs in the container" contest. They raised $115!

The other students involved were Elizabeth Ritlap, Erica Giancula, Gabrielle Micieli, Milena Difeo and Christina Lapiccirella.

This was a very heartwarming gesture and the Caledon Animal Shelter staff are very impressed, and very grateful for your donation. Thank you to each of you for your kindness.

What a great idea! Donations are always welcome and truly appreciated.
