Kids Fun Fair in Caledon was a blast!

What a great weekend--perfect weather for the many families who came and enjoyed the Kids Fun Fair on the Caledon Fairgrounds. The K-9 dog show was crowded for every show, the petting zoo was busy, the camel rides were crazy and the ribs - oh so good. The Ribfest was won by Jack the Ribber and the best sauce was judged to be from Crabby's BBQ Shack.

Sunday brought out a great lot of classic and antique cars and trucks from as far away as Dundalk, Toronto, Burlington and Kitchener. The $400 tire voucher was won by John Rawley of Caledon East in a 1954 Ford F100 truck. A 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 302, owned by the Sorensons from Inglewood, won the Conklin award. The Fair board trophy was won by John Campbell of Toronto in his 1940 Olds Custom Cruiser and the President's Award went to Jim Ferrier of Hillsburgh in his 1979 Chevelle. The bicycle was won by Kayla Corb.

Many fathers took advantage of the free midway rides on Father's Day.

No one won the John Deere tractor for the hole-in-one golf game and so it's being held over, with more chances during the Canada Day Strawberry Festival.

This Fun Fair was a first-time effort by the Caledon Agricultural Society in conjunction with Conklin Amusements. It was a huge success and everyone enjoyed the weekend.
