This fund-raising event raised more than $100,000 for tree planting projects in the Peel and Halton watersheds. Credit Valley Conservation will be planting tress as part of its Conservation Youth Corps program and Conservation Halton will be planting trees as part of their Trees for Watershed Health Program

Many politicians and other VIPs attended at this year's event including Gary Carr, chair of Halton Region; Emil Kolb, Peel chair; Caledon Mayor Marolyn Morrison; Gord Krantz, mayor of Milton; Mayor Rob Burton, mayor of Oakville; and Cam Jackson, mayor of Burlington.

"It was an outstanding evening," said Morrison, who's also chair of the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation. "The funds raised are greatly needed for local conservation projects."
