Sweden a perfect 3-0

Sweden increased its season-perfect record to 3-0 last Wednesday, with a 4-1 win against Switzerland at Edelweiss, in boys 5/6 division action.

Scoring powerhouse Marcus Ionta scored 3 goals and was named MVP. He played great defence and also set up a couple of opportunities for his teammates. Matthew Greco was great on the defensive end and had a couple of scoring opportunities. Colin Hughes rounded out the scoring. The game was well played by both teams.

"It looks like we will be on the winning side a lot this season," said coach Americo Mongillo.

Ionta has been a one-man wrecking crew on offence and defence and was a huge part in the team's opening 6- 2 win against Portugal, scoring five of the teams' six goals. He also netted a hat trick on the 7-3 win over Denmark on opening weekend.

Luca Pellegrino scored one goal the first game and three the following game and was the first MVP this season. Other notables are Gianluca Mongillo, playing a great game holding off the foes in net, making several key saves. Another MVP Colin Hughes did likewise in the second half of the second game, also earning a shutout.
