Ask for ID
Individuals posing as Peel regional employees

It has come to the Region's attention that unidentified individuals are portraying themselves as Peel Regional employees and requesting water samples in return for discount coupons.

The Region of Peel collects hundreds of water samples throughout Peel on a scheduled basis to ensure drinking water continuously meets and exceeds all provincial standards set out in the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Region of Peel employees who are sampling in your neighbourhood will approach your home in a Regional vehicle and ask if they may enter and take a water sample from your tap. Peel employees will be in possession of a Region of Peel ID tag.

The Region of Peel recommends you ask for identification from anyone claiming to be a Peel employee.

If you are contacted by someone you feel is misrepresenting themselves as a Region of Peel employee, please call the Region at 905-791-7800, ext. 4409.
