QUEBEC FIDDLER HOLDS WORKSHOP
Sunday, June 17, the Quebecois fiddler, Pascal Gemme will be teaching

a fiddle workshop at Claude Church in Caledon. Pascal's band Genticorum

(www.genticorum.com) is playing at the Brampton Folk Festival June 16. While

Pascal is in the area, it is a wonderful opportunity for local fiddlers to take

advantage of his extensive knowledge of the beautiful Quebec traditional music

repertoire, tunes which are largely unknown outside of that province. The full

afternoon workshop is suitable for intermediate/advanced level fiddlers. Tunes will

be taught by ear with sheet music to take home. The workshop costs $35 and will

be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17. Claude Church is located at 15175

Hurontario Street, Caledon. Please email wjeg@3web.net to reserve a spot, or call

Elizabeth Szekeres at 905-843-2749.
