Spring promises fund-raiser at Macville Public School

School council members Hiedi Cox, Maureen Thompson, Michelle McKenzie ( cochair), Lynn Bristoll, Heather French(co-chair), Erma Quintal and principal Michael Logue show off the proceeds from their recent fund-raiser.

Macville Public School's parent council recently hosted their second annual Spring fling. The Promise of Spring was held April 20 at Caesar's Banquet Hall. A total of 121 Macville parents, teachers and guests enjoyed an evening that included dinner, dancing and a silent auction. A renown Macville spirit was evident throughout the evening in the enthusiastic bidding on the incredible selection of items found on the auction tables.

The evening was a huge success and raised more than $7,000 for the school! This year, the entire earnings from the event will be spent in the school library to upgrade resources, furniture and make some esthetic improvements. What an exciting, and rewarding improvement to the school!

The Macville Parent Council would like to express their sincere appreciation to all those businesses and individuals in Bolton, Caledon East, and Orangeville for their generous donations to the silent auction. Thank you also, to the parents, teachers, and friends who so kindly donated to the auction.
