Town's CAO Pat Moyle resigns, to become Halton's CAO

After a five-year career with the Town of Caledon, Patrick Moyle has resigned from his position as chief administrative officer. Mayor Marolyn Morrison accepted his resignation May 30.

Moyle has been appointed CAO for Halton Region, commencing July 30.

"Pat's unwavering commitment to his staff and their achievement of excellence is remarkable," commented Mayor Morrison. "Under his leadership, all Town staff have been able to make significant accomplishments in the delivery of all of our municipal services."

Moyle has an extensive background within the municipal realm, with a variety of experience as a CAO in the municipal sector in addition to his work in the private sector. His experience as the executive director of AMO, as well as his positive reputation within the municipal community has proven his excellence as a leader.

"Caledon has enormous potential in terms of overall community development. The past five years have been the most enjoyable and rewarding part of my career thus far, which made this an extremely difficult decision. It has been a privilege to work with such talented staff, mayor and council," said Patrick Moyle. "The opportunity in Halton fulfills a career objective of working in a large complex municipal organization - with a completely new set of challenges."

Council will soon determine the protocol to hire a new CAO. In the interim, the Town of Caledon's acting CAO will be Sam Jones, treasurer and director of corporate services.
