Rotary's Wines of the World offers unique tasting experience

When it comes to wines, have you ever met up with Frisky Zebras, Seductive Shiraz from South Africa, or Tyrrell's Long Flat White from Australia?

The 2007 version of Palgrave Rotary's Wines of the World will introduce you to those and some 50 other specially selected, moderately priced wines for sampling. The event takes place at the Caledon Equestrian Centre in Palgrave, Friday, June 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is by advance ticket sale only. Tickets at $35 per person are available at Palgrave Café & Bake Shoppe, Migrations Travel and Cruise Centre, Palgrave and in Bolton at Forster's Book Garden, Humber Valley Winery and The Naked Vine.

In addition to learning about and sampling the wines, and a selection of beers, attendees will enjoy assorted cheeses, hors d'oeuvres and Palgrave Rotary's tast barbecue hips of beef.
