Native herb folklore at B&DHS
By Patti Baker

The Bolton & District Horticultural Society will be hosting an evening with herb expert Koidu Sulev Thursday, June 7 at the Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness.

A native of Sweden, Sulev trained as a pharmacist in Stockholm, where she studied medical preparations using herbs. Now working with Richter's Herbs, she has been featured in newspapers, radio and television, inspiring others to look beyond the basic culinary use of herbs. She will be presenting a talk on native herbs and their folklore.

Meetings of the B&DHS begin at 7:30 pm. and are free to members, $3 to the public and $2 to members of other horticultural societies. For membership info, call Cathy Brown at 905-857-1460.
